MycoTEX

Summary

MycoTEX® develops the worlds first 3D produced custom-made clothes made from compostable mushroom roots. Based on the biological life cycle we create garments that perfectly fit YOUR body, shape and style.

Description

There are 7,7 billion people on this planet that all need to be clothed. Many of us enjoy fashion and trends, but the clothes that we get rid of are a big problem.

MycoTEX creates sustainable fabric from mycelium - mushroom roots. Combined with 3D technology we create seamless garments that perfectly fit your body without the need to cut and sew!

This new and shorter supply chain eliminates the need for animals, petroleum or hazardous chemicals and is shortening production time; local production is reducing transport. We only grow what we need and have no textile waste during the production phase. Once you’ve worn it out, simply bury the garment in the ground to naturally decompose.

We have developed a series of prototypes and are working on scaling-up.

Right now, we are looking for production partners of our raw material and of 3D production (accessories, footwear, apparel). Our goal is to create long-term collaborations in which we continue to work on materials and product development that can be implemented by our production partners.
