MECELLOSE® - an additive for cement

Summary

MECELLOSE, environmentally friendly, uses cellulose as a primary source, which can be obtained from wood or cotton.

Description

Cellulose is indeed water-insoluble natural polymer that has 30~65% crystallinity formed by hydrogen bonding between molecules. Through a process called Etherification, this water-insoluble cellulose is manufactured into water-soluble ether. MECELLOSE As thickening agent, humectant, lubricant, or stabilizer, the application of MECELLOSE varies from construction, cement and ceramic extrusion, polymerization, paint, detergent, and personal care. LOTTE Fine Chemical produces MC(Methyl Cellulose), HPMC(HydroxyPropyl Methyl Cellulose) and modified cellulose ethers that satisfy specific needs of the current and future customers.
